A UEFA Champions League club is now reportedly interested in signing Mason Greenwood permanently from Manchester United, although the striker is said to have his eyes on another team instead.
In September, the striker joined Getafe on a season-long loan from United. The move came on the back of a lengthy internal investigation by the English giants after charges of attempted rape, assault occasioning bodily harm, as well as coercive and controlling behaviour against him were dropped earlier this year following his initial arrest in January 2022.

With the player now essentially rebuilding his career in Spain, another LALIGA club is now reportedly keen to acquire his signature after his first five games in the Spanish top flight.
With a goal and an assist to his name so far, Sevilla, who are currently third in Group B in the 2023/24 UEFA Champions League, are now looking to sign Greenwood on a permanent deal next season, according to The Sun.
However, it is understood that the marksman wants to stay at Getafe for the long term, with a source claiming: "The players and fans have all given him a welcome he could only have dreamed of.
"He really feared his career was over. Now he's just so happy and wants to carry on playing and not think too far ahead."
The Red Devils are reportedly paying the majority of the player's £75 000 (R1.7 million) current weekly wages, with his contract only set to expire in June 2025, but the EPL giants are said to be ready to move him on at the end of the campaign.
Last month, a United official stated that there was no intention to bring the centre-forward back to Old Trafford, and it is widely expected that the one-time England international will be based somewhere else next season.
