'De Gea looks as if he had a few drinks'

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has received some heavy criticism from a former Red Devils star after his error in the FA Cup.

The Spaniard committed an embarrassing error to allow Everton to equalise on the night, with the ball rolling through his legs at the near post.

The Red Devils did go on to win the FA Cup third-round tie 3-1 on the night, but former United captain Roy Keane did not hold back against De Gea.

"Listen, it's a shocking mistake from an international goalkeeper," Keane said on ITV, as per Daily Mail.

"De Gea there, it's like Carry On football. It looks as if he's had a few drinks. Shocking mistake.

"It's almost as if the keepers been sent off and an outfield players gone in goal, he doesn't know what to do! It's a horrendous mistake."

Former Arsenal star Lee Dixon, who was on commentary, echoed Keane's sentiments during the game.

"David De Gea has had an absolute nightmare there. I'm not sure where he thinks the ball is going. What is he doing.

"I cannot believe what I've just seen. He's one of the best goalkeepers in the world at making save with his feet but on that occasion, just put your gloves on it. What is going through his head."
