Manchester United have now reportedly made a decision on South African icon Benni McCarthy's future at the club.
The Red Devils are said to be on the verge of adding Dutch duo Rene Hake and Ruud van Nistelrooy to the coaching staff as the side looks to refresh the technical team following the decision to keep manager Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford.

The pair are believed to be set to be brought in as replacements for Eric Ramsay, who departed to become Major League Soccer side Minnesota United's manager earlier this year.
McCarthy, meanwhile, will also depart the club when his two-year contract expires at the end of June, according to The Athletic.
It is believed the former Cape Town City boss wants to make a return to management after his coaching stint in Manchester, during which he helped the Red Devils win a Carabao Cup in his first season and an FA Cup in his second, and apparently final, campaign with the team.
The 46-year-old also received much praise for contributing to Marcus Rashford's scintillating form in the 2022/23 campaign, when the forward netted 30 goals in 56 appearances across all competitions.
However, in McCarthy's second season at Carrington, the side managed to score just 57 goals in 38 league matches, and the former Bafana Bafana star faced some scrutiny as a result.
Regardless, the attacking coach is said to be departing the club on good terms, having won everybody's respect and reportedly maintaining good relationships with many players.

United, meanwhile, will be looking to build on their latest FA Cup triumph and improve on their worst-ever Premier League finish, having ended the 2023/24 campaign in eighth place after recording just 18 wins in 38 matches.
