Manchester United could reportedly be set for a major swap deal that would facilitate the arrival of a 2024 UEFA European Championship star.
The Red Devils seem to be on the market for a new right-back, and hold a particular interest in Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries, according to transfer expert David Ornstein, per Football365.

The Premier League side was previously linked with Bayern Munich star Noussair Mazraoui, who is also being chased by West Ham United, but it is said that United remain interested in the Moroccan.
According to Ornstein, though, if the Manchester-based club were to complete the signing of a new right-back, Aaron Wan-Bissaka would first have to depart Old Trafford.
As such, it has been suggested that the relevant intermediaries are discussing the possibility of a deal that would see the Englishman move to Inter, with Dumfries heading to the Theatre of Dreams in exchange.
Reports indicate that Wan-Bissaka has previously had an offer from the Hammers, but is believed he snubbed the London side as he favours a move to the Serie A giants.
The 26-year-old is currently in the last year of his contract at United, and that is understood to be a part of the reason why the club is open to selling him in the current window.
The situation with Dumfries and Inter is believed to be similar, with the Netherlands international's deal at the Nerazzurri set to expire at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

United, meanwhile, are also said to be interested in adding a left-back to their ranks following a 2023/24 campaign that saw both Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia struggle with injuries throughout the season.
