Manchester United outcast Mason Greenwood has suffered a massive blow in his bid to return to the football pitch after being charged with attempted rape earlier this year.
The England international was officially charged with attempted rape, assault, and engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour in October following a police investigation into the allegations that arose in January after a young women posted videos and images accusing the player of the aforementioned.

It is said that all three charges are related to one woman, who cannot be named at this stage.
This was a big blow for the player at the time, who had been hoping to get back on to the pitch after being suspended from all football activities by United since January, and it appears that wait is set to continue into the new year.
According to the Daily Mirror, the 21-year-old's trial will only begin on 27 November 2023, which means he will now have to wait more than a year to go to court.
The footballer appeared at Manchester's Minshull Street Crown Court on Monday for a short hearing that lasted less than 10 minutes as he needed to only share his name and address.
Following a court appearance in October, the forward's application for bail was rejected by a magistrates court judge and and he was remanded in custody, but he was released just three days later after a successful appeal.
Greenwood was re-bailed on Monday ahead of a pre-trial hearing on 10 February 2023.

The Red Devils' stance on the matter remains unchanged, with the player suspended pending the outcome of the case.
