Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has responded to the reports claiming the club want to sign a certain Manchester United star this month.
The Magpies reportedly made an approach to the Red Devils to sign midfielder Scott McTominay on loan for the remainder of the season.

The North East side are eager to sign another midfielder after Jonjo Shelvey suffered an injury that is expected to keep him out for the next few weeks.
However, Howe insists they have not made contact with the Red Devils over the Scotland international.
"That's (McTominay loan offer) not true," the Newcastle head coach said, as per North Echo.
"We're working hard at the moment on staying very much in contact with the market and looking at players and doing a lot of work.
"But we're not imminently close to signing anybody. We're not actively bidding for players at the moment – it's a watching brief at the moment."
He added, "The loan market is always a big option for us, but getting the right player on loan is very difficult."
