Sadio Mane and Cristiano Ronaldo's new head coach at Al Nassr has now been confirmed.

Al Nassr have officially announced Italian tactician Stefano Pioli as their new manager, replacing Luis Castro at the helm.

Castro's departure was confirmed on Tuesday, just three matches into the 2024/25 Saudi Pro League season.

"Al Nassr can announce that Head Coach Luis Castro has left the Club," an official statement from the SPL club reads. "Everyone at Al Nassr would like to thank Luis and his staff for their dedicated work during the past 14 months, wishing them the best of luck for the future."

Castro's replacement Pioli has now been unveiled by the Knights of Najd after the recent termination of his contract with AC Milan.

This will be the first time Pioli manages a team outside of Italy, having previously been in charge of clubs such as Fiorentina, Inter Milan, Lazio, and Sassuolo.

His longest managerial stint of 240 games was with the Rossoneri, whom he helped lift the 2021/22 Serie A title, their first since the 2010/11 campaign.

Castro's sacking, meanwhile, comes after the Portuguese boss failed to win any major trophies with the side despite heavy investment by Al Nassr in players such as Mane, Ronaldo, Marcelo Brozovic, Aymeric Laporte, Otavio, and the recently departed Alex Telles.
