NEW: Mbappe 'makes decision' on Real clause in new PSG offer

Kylian Mbappe has now reportedly responded to Paris Saint-Germain's latest extension offer, one that would guarantee him his desired move to Real Madrid.

With the Frenchman reported to have received a lucrative loyalty bonus for having stayed at the Parc des Princes beyond 1 August 2023, he is now believed to more open to leaving PSG in this window, in what is the latest chapter in the transfer saga involving the Bondy native and the record Ligue 1 champions.

According to Sky Sports, the 24-year-old has rejected the club's latest contract extension offer, one that included a clause that guaranteed him an exit at the end of the 2023/24 campaign, with Real Madrid understood to be the club he wants to join most.

With Les Parisiens having very publicly placed the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner on the transfer list recently, he is thus reluctant to commit his future to the club in any capacity going forward, with it said that he has refused to entertain this new offer altogether.

The Santiago Bernabeu has been heavily mooted as the striker's next potential home ground, but the same report suggests that the forward would rather stay in Paris and become a free agent at the end of next season, and reassess his options then, than sign any new deal with PSG.

Premier League clubs such as Chelsea are also said to be interested in securing the 2022 FIFA World Cup Golden Boot winner's signature.

Los Blancos, meanwhile, are believed to remain calm about the situation, and remain confident they will get their man, either in this window or in 2024
