Real star's agent: We are looking for a new team

A football agent has revealed that his player is likely to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season and is already looking for a new team.

Seven players will be out of contract at the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the season. This list includes the likes of Karim Benzema, Luka Modric, Nacho, Toni Kroos, Marco Asensio, Dani Ceballos, and Mariano Diaz.

While some reports in Spain suggest that Benzema is more likely to sign a new deal deal, the rest of the aforementioned players face an uncertain future as they approach the closing stages of their contracts.

Diaz's agent, David Aranda, has now revealed that his client has received a lot of interest from outside of Spain and wants to go to a club where he can be happy.

"Every three months we have contact with other teams. In the end he has always been in the market," his agent David Aranda told Diario AS, confirming that Mariano has been available for some time.He added: "His profile, characteristics and trajectory are always very appetising. Contract ends and now we have to look for a new team. We have possibilities from going to the Premier League, the Bundesliga, Calcio or other teams.

"I don't talk about the market with Mariano. A team where he can be happy suits Mariano, which is not that he's not happy in Madrid, but that his contract is running out.

"A team where you can continue to be happy, regardless of whether you play more or less. There are many circumstances to take into account."

The striker joined Los Blancos as a youth player back in 2011 and would go on to be sold by the club to Olympique Lyon in 2017. He was bought back by Real just a season later after impressing in Ligue 1.

This season, he has barely got a look from Carlo Ancelotti, as he has played just 57 minutes of action across all competitions, per Transfermarkt.
