Ancelotti's replacement at Real Madrid 'revealed'

Spanish giants Real Madrid have reportedly already identified a long-term replacement for Carlo Ancelotti.

Los Blancos have not had the perfect start to the LALIGA season, as they currently sit six points behind FC Barcelona after losing 4-0 in El Clasico.

Reports in Spain claim that club president Florentino Perez could look to replace the Italian tactician next season.

According to Spanish publication Relevo, Los Blancos have identified Bayer Leverkusen tactician Xabi Alonso as Ancelotti's successor.

Alonso has seemingly caught the eye of Europe's big clubs after guiding Leverkusen to their first Bundesliga title without suffering a single defeat.

The report adds that Perez is set to offer Ancelotti an alternative role at the club after he is relieved of his duties as manager next season.

Perez believes a new role would Ancelotti contribute to his legacy, having won 14 trophies during his two spells in the Spanish capital.
