PSG 'plot move' for Real Madrid star amid Mbappe saga

With Kylian Mbappe seemingly en route to Spain later this year, Paris Saint-Germain are now reportedly plotting a move for a Real Madrid star in response.

The French giants are said to be on the verge of losing their biggest star, Mbappe, in the next few months, with the player said to have already informed the Ligue 1 club and his teammates of his decision to leave the Parc des Princes at the end of this campaign.

The Santiago Bernabeu is believed to be his next destination, although no contract has officially been signed, nor has there been any official statement from Mbappe's camp on the matter.

Nevertheless, PSG now look to be returning the favour to Real, turning their sights to a Los Blancos star.

According to Defensa Central, the French champions are now plotting a move for left-back Ferland Mendy.

The Frenchman faces an uncertain future in Madrid, with his current side also said to be interested in signing a potential replacement for him, Alphonso Davies of Bayern Munich.

The report claims that Mendy has already turned down an opportunity to move to Saudi Arabia as he would rather represent another big club in Europe.

It is said that PSG could be an appealing option for Mendy, who was previously on their radar before he joined Carlo Ancelotti's side from Olympique Lyon in 2019.

Mendy also has close ties with Les Parisiens, having represented the club as a teenager at youth level.
