PSG 'want' Real Madrid star in return if Mbappe leaves

Paris Saint-Germain now reportedly want a certain Real Madrid star in return if they are to lose Kylian Mbappe to Los Blancos.

With the France international's contract set to expire at the end of the season, the Ligue 1 giants are already preparing to make a move for Real winger Rodrygo, according to Defensa Central

Mbappe's potential move to Los Blancos is a saga that has gone on for more than two years now, but he still remains at the Parc des Princes today, despite Les Parisiens' acceptance of a hefty £263 million (R6.1 billion) offer from Saudi Pro League giants Al Hilal in the latest transfer window.

The 24-year-old is now in the final year of his current contract after rejecting PSG's latest offers of an extension, with many believing the LALIGA giants to be his next destination and rumours suggesting he already has a deal in place with the Madrid club.

As a result, the Parisians are reported to have identified Rodrygo as Mbappe's successor, with new manager Luis Enrique said to be a big fan of the Brazilian and seeing him as a stylistic fit for his way of playing.

However, securing the 22-year-old's services could prove an arduous task for the reigning Ligue 1 champions as it is claimed that Los Blancos president Florentino Perez has no intention to green-light the winger's exit, with the player himself said to have no desire to leave the Santiago Bernabeu.

Rodrygo made the move to Real Madrid from Brazilian side Santos in 2019, and has since lit up LALIGA, making 170 appearances and amassing 28 goals and 32 assists.
