Real Madrid president 'not happy' with Vinicius' remarks

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is reportedly unhappy with Vinicius Junior over his recent remarks in the media.

The Brazilian's long-term future has been a topic of discussion for the last few months, especially with reported interest from the Saudi Pro League.

There have been reports claiming Vinicius had already rejected an offer to extend his contract, as he seemingly wants to earn in the region of Kylian Mbappe.

Vinicius revealed on Wednesday after defeating Manchester City, that he wants to stay in Madrid for a long time.

"I don't know anything either. I haven't spoken to anyone yet," Vinicius said, as per Football Espana.

"I think I have to talk to the president. I hope I can stay here for a long time. This is my home."

According to Sport, Real feel that Vinicius' admission to staying at the club puts more pressure on the club to offer a better contract.

The report also adds that the comments did not go down well with club executives, including Perez.

Vinicius' current contract with the Spanish giants ends in 2027.
