Real star in furious bust-up with UCL rival ahead of EUROs

Ahead of the UEFA European Championship and fresh off winning the UEFA Champions League, a Real Madrid star was reportedly involved a furious bust-up with an international teammate he played against in that final.

Tournament hosts Germany are set to face Scotland in what will be the tournament opener on Friday, but their build-up to that match has been dented as Antonio Rudiger almost came to blows with teammate Niclas Fullkrug during a recent training session, according to Bild.

Earlier this month, they faced one another in the UCL final, where the defender's Los Blancos beat Fullkrug's Borussia Dortmund side by two goals to nil.

The pair then came up against one another once more, this time on opposing sides for a crossing drill that took place during a public training session.

It is claimed that Rudiger put in an aggressive tackle on the striker during the session, leaving the forward languishing on the ground.

Fullkrug is said to have then confronted the ex-Chelsea star after a failed attempt at appealing for coaches to intervene.

This confrontation reportedly almost led to a physical altercation before assistant coach Sandro Wagner stepped in to calm the situation.

It is believed that when the time for a drinks break came around, the players were still upset at one another.

The centre-back is said to have sarcastically applauded the Bundesliga forward, who was then separated from the team and made to jog with a fitness coach to further cool off.

It is also reported, however, that the tension between them has de-escalated since, with Fullkrug taking to social media to share an image of the pair involved in some training activity.

Rudiger commented on the post, writing: "Luuuuuckkkkkkkkeeeeee", to which the attacker responded with heart emojis.
