One of Real Madrid's most important players, whose contract is set expire in June, is now said to have revealed the one condition under which he will sign a new deal with the club.
The reigning European champions have an incredible seven players who will be out of contract at the club at the end of this campaign if new deals are not agreed, including Ballon d'Or award recipients Luka Modric and Karim Benzema, and midfielder Toni Kroos.

The French striker is the only player who is guaranteed an extension, per ABC, while an offer to renew has also been made to Kroos, but the rest of the players, including Modric, face uncertain futures.
Aged 33, German playmaker Kroos is understood to be contemplating hanging up his boots at the end of the campaign, having already retired from international football in 2021.
According to Spanish outlet AS, there are now doubts over the former Bayern Munich star's future at the Santiago Bernabeu as he has told his inner circle he will only renew his deal in Madrid on the condition that he will be a regular starter next season.
Los Blancos began revamping their midfield following their UEFA Champions League triumph last season, having brought in Aurelien Tchouameni and let go of Casemiro, who joined Manchester United.
France star Edouard Camavinga has also played an increasingly prominent role in midfield this campaign, while Los Blancos are also understood to be in the race to sign highly sought-after English sensation Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund in the off-season.

Kroos is expected to carefully consider his role in the team going forward, with a separate report by ABC suggesting that the 2014 FIFA World Cup winner is set to make his decision by the end of February
