Real Madrid 'tell' Mbappe what he needs to do to join them

Real Madrid have now reportedly made it clear what Kylian Mbappe needs to do if he wants to join them.

The LALIGA giants are said to still be interested in signing the French superstar, despite recent reports suggesting otherwise, but have now changed their approach.

According to RMC Sport, Los Blancos are hesitant to appear as the main contender for his services following his late rejection of their advances in 2022, when he ultimately signed an extension with Paris Saint-Germain, and have insisted that if he wants the move, he needs to make the first step.

"If Mbappe wants to come, let him do the job," a Real source said.

As the France international and Los Merengues continue to be strongly linked to one another, it is said the abovementioned past experience has caused the player's words to "lose value" in the eyes of the Los Blancos hierarchy.

This year, the pair are in a similar situation again, with Mbappe having so far chosen not to sign a renewal in Paris and reportedly foregoing a loyalty bonus of £87 million (R1.9 billion) in order to leave PSG as a free agent when the current season comes to an end.

As things stand, the Spanish giants will be free to begin pre-contract negotiations with the forward in January.
