A Spain star is now reportedly pushing to join Real Madrid after his relationship with his club coach broke down.
Spain are still fresh of their 2024 UEFA European Championship triumph in July, which saw them claim the continental title a fourth time and their first since 2012.

Several players from that team shone at EURO 2024, including Lamine Yamal, Nico Williams, Rodri, and Dani Olmo.
Midfielder Fabian Ruiz was somewhat an unsung hero at the tournament, registering two goals and two assists in six matches for La Furia Roja.
However, despite his prominent role in the national team and being named in the EURO 2024 Team of the Tournament, it has not been smooth sailing for Ruiz at his club, Paris Saint-Germain.
The 28-year-old has played less than 50 minutes in the side's opening three league matches of the new season, and his relationship with manager Luis Enrique is reportedly strained.
The player is thus now open to leaving the Parc des Princes in favour of joining Real, claims Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda.
"He is a footballer who wants to leave the current club where he is because his relationship with the coach is bad," Inda told El Chiringuito de Jugones.
"Last year, he was not a starter for a part of the season and then he was a star of the Spanish national team in the Euro cup.
"There is a club that he has always liked and that club does not turn down this player. He is a player from Seville, from Los Palacios, who plays for PSG and is Fabian.
"Real Madrid likes him and he would be interested in coming. He is unhappy with Luis Enrique, they have a tense relationship.
"He did not take him to the World Cup in Qatar [when Enrique was Spain manager]. When the Euro cup came, he was one of the big stars."
Carlo Ancelotti's side is reportedly open to signing a new central midfielder after Toni Kroos retired at the end of last season.
Moreover, the Madrid club is expected to part ways with Luka Modric at the end of the current campaign, which would likely prompt Los blancos to explore their options in central midfield.

With Ruiz under contract until June 2027 in France, the playmaker has played 74 matches since his arrival in the French capital in August 2022.
