A Real Madrid star has revealed his wife 'let him' sign a new contract with Los Blancos.
Toni Kroos signed am extension with the Spanish giants that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2023/2024 season.
Kroos joined fellow teammate Luka Modric in signing a short-term extension, but he reveals his wife was happy to let him stay another year in the Spanish capital.

"My wife? She allowed me to continue for another year (laughs)," Kroos told Marca.
"A little thank you to my wife, who told me 'just do what you want'.
"That surprised me a bit because you don't want me to be at home more often? (Laughs)."
The German World Cup winner also added that he is still hungry for titles and has not been thinking about retiring.
"There are one or two negative examples, who simply could not leave football, and were no longer the player people have in their minds. I don't want that to happen to me", he added.
"I have the feeling last season went as well as my last nine in Madrid. Why wouldn't the next one go well? I still enjoy football and I'm hungry for titles."
