According to Sky in Italy, Rossoneri playmaker Hakan Calhanoglu is set to sign for city rivals Inter in a three-year deal worth €5 million (R84 million) a season, plus bonuses.
Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that negotiations between Calhanoglu and the Nerazzurri accelerated following Denmark and Inter star Christian Eriksen's collapse at the UEFA European Championship.
According to beIN SPORTS, the 27-year-old created 98 chances for Milan last season, the most by any player in Serie A, and had 21 goal contributions across all competitions, consisting of nine goals and 12 assists.
Should the move be confirmed, Calhanoglu would join an illustrious list of players who changed allegiance between the two Milan clubs, including Andrea Pirlo, Clarence Seedorf, Christian Vieri and Roberto Baggio.
