Agent provides update on Gonzalo Higuain's future

Gonzalo Higuain spent the second half of the 2018/2019 season on loan at Chelsea, but the player's agent has now provided an update on his future.

The Argentine forward failed to make a success of himself during a six-month loan spell at Stamford Bridge, registering five goals in 18 appearances.

The Blues have the option to make the move permanent, but the striker's agent and brother, Nicolas, claims the player wants to return to Juventus.

Which means Higuain could once again player under the guidance of Maurizio Sarri, who has been heavily tipped to join the Old Lady from next season.

"Gonzalo wants to respect his contract and therefore stay with Juventus for another two years," Nicolas told Radio Marte.

"His performances at Juve have been good and playing for another team in Italy isn't a workable solution.

"I don't want to disrespect anyone, but if Gonzalo plays in Italy again then he only will for Juve, who own him.

"I think this could be Gonzalo's year. He has so much strength and determination, and he wants to end his career at Juve."
