AC Milan have confirmed the acquisition of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Player of the Tournament Ismaël Bennacer from Empoli on a five-year deal.
Bennacer was an instrumental figure as Algeria claimed their second continental crown in history and first since 1990.

Born in France of Algerian citizenship, Ismael represented France at Under-18 and Under-19 level, before choosing to play for the Desert Foxes from 2016.

The 21-year-old midfielder began his career at Ligue 2 Club Arles-Avignon, before joining Arsenal where he registered 23 appearances for the under-23 team before signing for Empoli in 2017.
Bennacer has won 17 caps for Algeria and started all seven of their AFCON 2019 games.
