Juventus confirms offer for Sassuolo star Manuel Locatelli

Juventus vice president Pavel Nedved has confirmed the club have made an offer to sign Sassuolo star Manuel Locatelli.

The Sassuolo president has previously confirmed that Juventus and Arsenal were among the sides looking to sign the European Championship winner for the new season.

Nedved has now made it clear that the Turin outfit want to sign Locatelli and the club have already made their offer to Sassuolo.

"We spoke to Sassuolo and we made our offer, which we believe is appropriate for the current climate, with the way finances and the transfer market have been affected by Covid," Nedved told Sport Mediaset.

"We are convinced this is a good offer and it is the right one. We are always confident, naturally in negotiations there are things that must be clarified and resolved.

"When you want a player and that player wants you, it's clear."

Juventus are yet to make any new signings for the upcoming campaign, but they have extended Alvaro Morata's loan while Weston McKennie's loan deal was made permanent.
