Juventus threatened with Serie A expulsion

The record 36-time Italian champions could be kicked out of the domestic competition next season if the club continues to align itself with the breakaway European Super League tournament.

Juventus are one of three teams, alongside Real Madrid and Barcelona, who have not yet formally withdrawn from the controversial competition despite the other nine founding clubs having already done so.

"I would be sorry for the fans but rules are rules and they apply to everyone. I hope this holdout ends soon."

Juventus were recently dethroned as the champions of Serie A for the first time in nearly a decade after rivals Inter Milan claimed the 2020/21 trophy with three matches to spare for the campaign.
