Napoli boss issues warning over Osimhen future

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has issued a stern warning to teams trying to sign top scorer Victor Osimhen next season.

The Nigerian striker netted 22 goals this season to help the Naples outfit secure their first Serie A title since 1990 with five games to spare.

There is no surprise that some of Europe's top clubs, including Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, are keen on signing the Super Eagles star after his form this year.

However, it seems the 24-year-old will not be leaving Naples in the next transfer window if the club president's words are anything to go by.

I will not sell Victor Osimhen this summer - no way!" De Laurentiis told Rai Sport.

The Nigerian striker was in no mood to talk about his future after leading his side to the Scudetto on Thursday night.

"I'm thrilled with this victory. I'm happy for me, for the team and for the fans. I can't wait to come back in Naples to embrace our fans, even though tonight I already felt the warmth of the people," Osimhen told Sky Italia.

"I'm happy for all the Neapolitans. I scored the Scudetto goal, it's true, but anyone else could have scored it.

"I feel like a leader and I never give up. Future? Now I want to enjoy this historic moment, this is not the time to think about my future.
