Official: Inter Milan appoint Simone Inzaghi as new manager

Inzaghi has signed a two-year deal with the Nerazzurri that sees him replace title-winning manager Antonio Conte as the club's new boss.

"FC Internazionale Milano would like to welcome Simone Inzaghi to the Club, as our new First Team Coach: the Italian manager has signed a two-year deal with the Nerazzurri," Inter said in an official statement on Thursday.

The 45-year-old former Italy international joins Inter from domestic rivals Lazio, where he spent the previous five seasons as manager and won two Italian Super Cups and the 2018/19 Coppa Italia.

Meanwhile, his predecessor Conte appears close to making a swift return to football, with the former Chelsea boss linked with a move back to the Premier League with Tottenham Hotspur.
