AC Milan moved up to third and pushed Juventus out of the top four in Serie A with a 3-0 victory in Turin on Sunday evening.
Alvaro Morata set out alongside Cristiano Ronaldo with Giorgio Chiellini, Adrien Rabiot and Federico Chiesa recalled for Juve, as Milan had ex-Juventus Mario Mandzukic on the bench.
Milan made the first movement earlier on as Brahim Diaz swirled around the area to direct a snap shot narrowly over, and worked goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny to a firm stop later on.
Andrea Pirlo's boys began to take control and with a minute to the half-hour mark Chiellini send a free header from a corner-kick wide of the near corner amidst a clear sight to the net.
Milan however had the final say in the final minute of the first half after Diaz evaded a challenge from Juan Cuadrado to curl into the top corner.
The Old Lady hit the accelerator pedal minutes inside the second half and worked a solid save off goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma from a quick fire effort by Rodrigo Bentancur.
