Serie A wrap

AS Roma's hopes of finishing in the top four were dashed following a draw away to Sassuolo, while Udinese picked up a vital win against SPAL in Serie A on Saturday.

Sassuolo 0-0 AS Roma

AS Roma will not be playing UEFA Champions League football next season after only managing a goalless draw against Sassuolo on Saturday.

Roma needed three points to move up to fourth spot, but they now remain in fifth and could slip out of the Europa League places if Torino and Milan win on Sunday.

Genoa 1-1 Cagliari

Genoa failed to boost their survival bid following a 1-1 draw with Cagliari on Saturday evening.

Leonardo Pavoletti opened the scoring for the visitors five minutes before the break, before Domenico Criscito salvaged a point for Genoa in the 88th minute.

Udinese 3-2 SPAL

Udinese claimed three points in their final home game of the season after defeating SPAL 3-2 on Saturday afternoon.

The hosts raced into a three-goal lead thanks to a brace from Stefano Okaka and Samir's solitary strike.

Andrea Petagna and Mattia Valoti reduced the deficit with 30 minutes remaining, but Udinese held on for the win.
