Torino 3-1 Lazio
Lazio's European hopes were dashed at the hands of Torino following a 3-1 defeat at the Stadio Olimpico Grande.
The match sprung to life in the second half after a goalless first, with Iago Falque handing the hosts the lead on 51 minutes, which Sasa Lukic doubled two minutes later.
Lazio pulled a response through a decent finish from key marksman Ciro Immobile on 66 minutes, but Lorenzo De Silvestri secured the seventh place for the home side after 80 minutes.
Inter Milan 2-1 Empoli
Inter Milan qualified for the UEFA Champions League after relegating Empoli with a 2-1 win at the San Siro Stadium.
Keita Balde sprung off the bench to hand Inter the lead on 51 minutes, but Empoli responded on 76 minutes through Haman Traore but Radja Nainggolan grabbed the winner on 82 minutes.
Both sides finished were given added time dismissals in Balde for Inter and Filippo Perucchini for the visitors, who go down to the second tier.
Atalanta 3-1 Sassuolo
Atalanta secured a record-breaking top-three finish after a 3-1 victory over a nine-man Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium.
Sassuolo drew first blood after 19 minutes through Dominico Berardi, but Duvan Zapata replied for Atalanta 10 minutes to halftime.
Alessandro Gomez put the hosts in front before Mario Pasalic secured the points after 65 minutes from the bench.
Berardi and Francesco Magnanelli were both dismissed in the 45th and 83rd minute respectively of the gruelling contest.
SPAL 2-3 AC Milan
AC Milan missed out on Champions League football despite a hard-fought 3-2 victory over SPAL at the Stadio Paolo Mazza.
Milan broke through on 18 minutes thanks to Hakan Calhanoglu and Franck Kessie on 23 minutes. SPAL launched a come back on 28 minutes through Francesco Vicari.
Mohamed Fares levelled on 53 minutes, but a penalty on 66 minutes from Kessie secured the win for Milan to finish fifth in the league.
Sampdoria 2-0 Juventus
Massimiliano Allegri ended his reign as Juventus manager with defeat after the champions lost 2-0 at Sampdoria on Sunday evening.
Goals from Gregoire Defrel and Gianluca Capra secured victory for the home side.
AS Roma 2-1 Parma
Roma's disastrous campaign ended with a 2-1 win over Parma at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome to end off in sixth place.
Roma took a halftime lead after a 35th minute strike from Lorenzo Pellegrini, but Gervinho drew the visitors level four minutes to full-time.
Diego Perotti squashed out any chance of a draw with the winner a minute before time added on.
Fiorentina 0-0 Genoa
Genoa managed to secure their top flight status after a goalless draw away to Fiorentina in Florence.
In a match of little chances, the two struggling sides failed to break down each other thus settling for a draw to end the campaign in 16th and 17th place respectively.
Cagliari 1-2 Udinese
Udinese's campaign ended with a 2-1 victory over Cagliari at the Sardegna Arena to finish in 12th place.
Udine trailed on 17 minutes after Leonardo Pavoletti's opener. The come back happened in the second half through a 59th minute finish from Emil Hallfredsson.
Wingback Sebastien De Maio sealed the points with a good finish on 69 minutes, as the Rossoblu finish their campaign in 15th place.
