Six possible destinations for Cristiano Ronaldo, including Manchetser United and Real Madrid

With speculation mounting surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo's future, here are six possible destinations the Portugal star could call home next season.

Ronaldo's future at Juventus has been called into question after the Bianconeri relinquished their Serie A crown to rivals Inter Milan last weekend. Juve's title defence has gone from bad to worse this season and, with the 36-time champions lying in a lowly fifth position in the league standings,  they are now at risk of missing out on Champions League qualification.

Ronaldo is contracted to the club until the end of the 2021/22 season and is widely expected to honour his contract in Turin, however, his position might change if Andrea Pirlo's side fails to secure a top-four finish this season, with only three matches remaining to turn things around.

Should the five-time Ballon d'Or winner elect to leave the club, he will not be short of suitors and has already been strongly linked with a return to former clubs Manchester United, Real Madrid and Sporting Lisbon. The latter will only be in a position to sign him on a free transfer at the end of next season but he may well be tempted to re-join either United or Los Blancos.

Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain have also been created with an interest in Ronaldo's services and could look to partner him alongside Neymar next season, particularly if Kylian Mbappe leaves the club. The French forward has been linked with a move to Real Madrid and his exit could facilitate Ronaldo's transfer to the French capital.

At 36, the Portugal star is also reaching the twilight years of his career and, despite still starring as one of the best players in the world, may be considering a change of scenery with a move to the United States. There, the David Beckham-owned franchise of Inter Miami have been keeping tabs on his availability and could entice him to move to MLS in the coming months.
