AC Milan star Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to make his acting debut after landing a role in the upcoming Asterix Obelix film.
Film production company Pathe has finalised the cast for Asterix Obelix: The Middle Kingdom, which will see Ibrahimovic star alongside the likes of Marion Cotillard (Dark Knight Rises) and Vincent Cassel (Westworld), per Deadline.com.

The French-language film is the fifth live-action adaptation of the popular comic book series and has reportedly already been picked up by popular streaming platform Netflix for distribution in a select number of territories.
Ibrahimovic will play the character Oneofus and is not the first footballer to feature in an adaptation of the films, with former France international and current Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane having made a cameo in Asterix at the Olympic Games.
The film reportedly boasts a budget of €60 million (R1 billion), per The Athletic, and filming is set to commence later this year, presumably once the AC Milan star has completed his footballing duties for the campaign.
