A European star has now attributed his record-breaking speed to eating a certain African food.
On Wednesday night, Borussia Dortmund secured a 1-0 win over Chelsea in their UEFA Champions League round of 16 clash.

Karim Adeyemi scored the winner for the Bundesliga giants with a blistering solo run that he eventually rounded off with a finish past Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Earlier this month, the 21-year-old became the Bundesliga's fastest-ever player after running at a top speed of 22.77mph (36.65km/h) in a 5-1 win over SC Freiburg, beating the record previously held by former Mainz player Jeremiah St. Juste, who produced a top pace of 22.76mph (36.63km/h) last season.
Adeyemi, who has been lauded for his speed and eye for goal, has insisted that African delicacy fufu is the secret to his searing pace.
"I eat a lot of African foods but I have good genetics from my dad," the forward explained after his team's UCL win over the Blues, per NotjustTok.
"[The food] is called fufu from Nigeria, it's very good."
The Germany international is of African origin, having been born in Munich to a Nigerian father and a Romanian mother.
