Barca edge BVB in five-goal thriller, Man City lose

Borussia Dortmund 2-3 Barcelona

Barcelona continued their good form in the UEFA Champions League with a thrilling win over Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night.

Catalan giants coach Hansi Flick went with the same side that started the 2-2 draw against Real Betis over the weekend, with Robert Lewandowski started against his former team.

Blaugrana got the opening goal seven minutes after the halftime break when Raphinha got on the end of Dani Olmo's through-ball before slotting home.

Eight minutes later, Dortmund were back on level terms courtesy of Serhou Guirassy converting a penalty for his fourth goal this term.

Ferran Torres restored Barcelona's lead in the 75th minute but three minutes later, Dortmund were back on level terms  thanks to Guirassy's second goal on the night. However, Torres rescued the visitors once again by netting the winning goal on 85 minutes.

Juventus 2-0 Manchester City

Manchester City's struggles continued following a 2-0 defeat to Serie A giants Juventus in UEFA Champions League action.

Pep Guardiola made three changes from the draw at Crystal Palace over the weekend as goalkeeper Ederson, Jack Grealish and Jeremy Doku were recalled to the line-up.

The first half failed to provide any big chances, but Juventus got the breakthrough eight minutes after the break via Dusan Vlahovic's towering header.

The Serie A side bagged a second goal with 15 minutes left as second-half substitute Weston McKennie sent a wonderful acrobatic effort past Ederson after getting on the end of Timothy Weah's cross.

Arsenal 3-0 AS Monaco

Arsenal made it back-to-back wins in the Champions League with a 3-0 triumph over AS Monaco.

Injuries in the defence saw Gunners coach Mikel Arteta handed a start to 18-year-old Myles Lewis-Skelly at left-back while Kai Havertz also dropped out for Gabriel Jesus upfront.

It took a while for the hosts to get going as they had to wait until the 34th minute for the opening goal when Bukayo Saka got his third in the competition by turning home Jesus' cross.

Bukayo Saka added a second goal in the 78th minute to double Arsenal's advantage before Havertz come off the bench to add a third goal.

AC Milan 2-1 Red Star

AC Milan continued their climb in the League Phase with a 2-1 victory over Red Stars at the San Siro.

The Serie A giants got the breakthrough three minutes before the halftime break as Rafael Leao latched onto a long pass from Youssouf Fofana before firing home, but Nemanja Radonjic brought the visiting level in the 67th minute.

The game looked to be headed for a draw until Tammy Abraham bagged the winning goal for Milan with three minutes left on the clock.
