PSG advance to UCL last 16, Newcastle crash out

Borussia Dortmund 1-1 Paris Saint-Germain

Borussia Dortmund secured top spot in the 'Group of Death' after their 1-1 draw with Paris Saint-Germain.

After a goalless first half, the Bundesliga giants got in front six minutes after the halftime break courtesy of a strike from Karim Adeyemi.

The lead only lasted five minutes as Warren Zaïre-Emery pulled the French champions level on 56  minutes.

The point was enough to see PSG secure second spot in the group and qualify for the knockout round.

Newcastle United 1-2 AC Milan

AC Milan had to settle for third spot despite defeating Newcastle United 2-1 at St Jame's Park.

The Magpies took the lead ten minutes before the break when Joelinton found the back of the net with a powerful strike from the edge of the box.

Milan, however, got back on level terms after the hour mark courtesy of a goal from former Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic.

Samuel Chukwueze got the winning goal for Milan in the final five minutes to send Newcastle to the bottom of the grop.

Royal Antwerp 2-3 Barcelona

Group H winners Barcelona suffered a 3-2 defeat to Royal Antwerp in their final group game.

Arthur Vermeeren gave the home fans something to shout about after opening the scoring two minutes in the first half.

Barcelona were able to restore parity in the 35th minute when Ferran Torres fired home after being set up by Lamine Yamal.

Vincent Janssen restored Antwerp's lead ten minutes after the break and while Marc Guiu levelled for Barcelona in the 91st minute, George Ilenikhena popped up with the winning goal for the hosts a minute later.

Atletico Madrid 2-0 Lazio

Atletico Madrid finished top of Group E with a 2-0 win over Lazio in the Spanish capital on Wednesday night.

The hosts got off to a promising start when Antoine Griezmann opened the scoring after six minutes after being set up by Samuel Limo.

Limo then got his name on the score-sheet in the 51st minute, which ultimately sealed the win for Diego Simeone's charges.

Lazio, meanwhile, will also be in the round of 16 after finishing second in the group.

Red Star Belgrade 2-3 Manchester City

Defending champions Manchester City clinched a perfect record in Group G with a 3-2 win away to Red Star Belgrade.

The visitors got their goals Micah Hamilton, Oscar Bobb and Kalvin Phillips, while Hwang In-Beom and Aleksandar Katai were on target for Red Star.

The home side finished bottom of the group without winning a single game this campaign.

FC Porto 5-3 Shakhtar Donetsk

FC Porto finished second in Group H after defeating Shakhtar Donetsk 5-3 on Wednesday evening.

Galeno netted a brace while Mehdi Taremi, Pepe and Francisco Concicao completed the rout for the Portuguese giants.

The Ukrainian side will now drop to the Europa League after settling for a third-place finish.
