PSG fight back to send Barca crashing out of UCL

Paris Saint-Germain defeated ten-man FC Barcelona 4-1 to secure their spot in the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.

PSG coach Luis Enrique made three changes from the first leg as Achraf Hakimi, Warren Zaire-Emery and Bradley Barcola returned to the side, while 16-year-old Lamine Yamal was also back in the team for the visitors.

The Catalan giants got the breakthrough on 12 minutes after Raphinha grabbed his third goal of the tie by turning home a cross from Lamine Yamal at the near post.

Enrique's men continued to dominate possession thereafter and there was a big moment in the 29th minute when Barcelona were reduced to ten men when Ronald Araujo was shown a straight a red card for bringing down Barcola, who through on goal.

Barca coach Xavi Hernandez was forced to make a change in defensive and sacrificed Lamal for Inigo Martinez, as they prepared for the onslaught from the French champions.

The home side was able to find the equaliser shortly before the halftime break when Ousmane Dembele silenced the boo boys by turning home Barcola's cross at the far post.

Nine minutes into the second half, PSG were ahead in the second leg and level in the tie as Vitinha caught the Barcelona defence napping and rifled a low strike past Marc-Andre ter Stegen from distance.

PSG managed to completely turn the tie around after being awarded a penalty after Dembele was brought down by substitute Joao Cancelo, which allowed Kylian Mbappe to step up and expertly dispatch the spot-kick.

Both sides looked to the bench after that as Ferran Torres replaced Pedri, while PSG threw on Lee Kang-In and Marcos Asensio for Barcola and Fabian Ruiz for the final 20 minutes.

Mbappe wrapped up the contest in the 89th minute with his second and PSG's fourth goal on the night, which confirmed their place in the final four.
