Belgium registered their first win of the 2024 European Championship following a 2-0 victory over Romania on Saturday evening.
After the shock defeat to Slovakia, the Belgians targeted redemption as Youri Tielemans earned a start while Romania brought in Valentin Mihaila in the place of Florinel Coman.
The Red Devils made the perfect start in the first minute when Romelu Lukaku displayed fantastic hold-up play and teed the ball up for Tielemans to find the bottom corner from the edge of the box.
Romania attempted a reply but solid piece of goalkeeping by Koen Casteels denied Denis Dragusin levelling it up off a pin-point header after a cross.
However, the Red Devils didn't stop penetrating around the opening quarter before seeing Dodi Lukebakio come in to the area to rattle the palms of Florin Nita.

Some enlightening moments were in sight for the Tricolours, but even than didn't do enough to thoroughly hurt the Red Devils and continued on the back-foot.
Manchester City star player Kevin De Bruyne had a golden chance to add to the tally minutes after halftime with a shot from the area, but Nita thwarted.
Lukaku's fortunes did seem to have finally come good when he finished expertly from close-range, but again it didn't stand as he was deemed to have gone offside according to the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) .
The Red Devils made a double substitution in the closing 20 minutes as Orel Mangala replaced goal-scorer Tielemans and Yannick Carrasco entered for Jeremy Doku.
Belgium still enjoyed all of the momentum as the minutes flew by and made the outcome safe when De Bruyne made a galloping run in-behind and finished with ease.
