EUROs: Round of 16 line-up complete

Portugal were stunned 2-0 by the lowly-ranked Georgia in their final Group F clash at the 2024 European Championship.

Cristiano Ronaldo started and became the first European player to make 50 appearances in major international tournaments, as Joao Felix made a maiden start at the tournament with Rafael Leao suspended.

However, the Portuguese were given a dreadful start as Napoli's Khvicha Kvaratskhelia pushed forward from a loose ball and displayed a telling bottom-corner finish.

Ronaldo looked to inspire a comeback a few minutes from going behind courtesy of a long-range free-kick, but he was well thwarted in the end.

It didn't get any better in the second period but matters worsened for the Portuguese, who were now two goals down as the Georgians received a penalty on advise from the pitch-side monitor after Luca Locoshvili went down in the box.

Georges Mikautadze did the honours from 12-yards out and made no mistake but executed in the bottom-corner to increase their control on proceedings.

Portugal looked for a response after falling way behind, but the Georgians backed by goalkeeper Giorgi Marmardashvili denied entry and stunned the A Selecao to go into the last 16.

Czechia 1-2 Turkiye

Turkiye advanced to the knockout stages from Group F alongside Portugal and Georgia after a tense 2-1 victory over Czechia in the group stage finale.

Manchester United goalkeeper Altay Bayindir missed out through injury for the Turks, with Mert Gunok installed before Real Madrid starlet Arda Guler returned having sat on the bench against Portugal.

Czechia were dealt a big blow in the opening 20 minutes after Antonin Barak received his marching orders for a second bookable offence following a heavy challenge on Salih Ozcan.

In the second half, the Turks began to find confidence and took the lead when captain Hakan Calhanoglu drilled a layoff from Ismail Yuksek across the area and into the bottom-corner.

West Ham United midfielder Tomas Soucek showed up after a pretty quiet outing and clawed the Czechs level in the closing stages through a scrappy goal-line finish.

The Turks sealed the win in the dying minutes where second half introduction Cenk Tosun made a smart move to the area and arrowed in the bottom-corner and confirmed the victory.
