According to Sky Sports Germany, the Netherlands international has agreed personal terms with Bayern, including a proposed salary of €6 million (R119 million) a year.
It is claimed the German giants want to sign the player on loan with an option to buy, and Simons' salary could rise up to €12 million (R238 million) if all goes accordingly.
It is further reported that Bayern will open negotiations with the 21-year-old's parent club Paris Saint-Germain to discuss the next steps, especially as Simons could now be staying in Germany after spending last season on loan at RB Leipzig.
