France superstar Kylian Mbappe has now made a big admission following his side's exit from the 2024 UEFA European Championship.
An eighth minute opener by Randal Kolo Muani proved to not be enough to keep Les Bleus in the competition as goals from Lamine Yamal and Dani Olmo handed Spain a 2-1 victory to see Didier Deschamps' side bow out at the semi-final stage of the tournament on Tuesday night.

As a result, La Furia Roja will face either England or Netherlands in the final, which is set to take place on Sunday.
Mbappe, who managed to net just one goal in five appearances at the showpiece in Germany, has admitted that his campaign was a personal failure.

"My competition? It was difficult," the Real Madrid star told reporters after the game, per ABC News.
"It was a failure. We had the ambition to be European champions; I had the ambition to be European champion. We aren't that, so it's a failure.
"It's football. We have to move on. It's been a long year. I'm going to go on holiday and get some rest – that'll do me a lot of good, and I'll try and come back strongly."
The 25-year-old's tournament got off to a rocky start as he was forced off the field against Austria after a nasty collision.
It was later confirmed he had broken his nose, with the player having to wear a mask thereafter, which he described as "horrible", for his side's following encounters.
While he did not don the facial attire in the semi-final, he was still unable to pull the French through to the concluding stage of the competition.
