UEFA has now officially charged two Spain stars over their conduct following their 2024 UEFA European Championship triumph.
It has been confirmed that Spain duo Alvaro Morata and Rodri have been charged by UEFA for breaching its basic rules of decent conduct.

The two players were deemed to have brought UEFA's name into disrepute were the chants they made regarding the sovereignty of Gibraltar, a country under Britain's overseas territory for more than 300 years.
Understood to have been aimed at England, whom Spain beat in the final of EURO 2024 to claim a record-breaking fourth title, the taunt was heard during Spain's trophy celebrations in Madrid, with the songs said to have been led by Morata and Rodri before thousands of fans joined in on the act.
Gibraltar's football association filed a complaint with UEFA as a result, and the European body has now charged the La Furia Roja duo with "violating the basic rules of decent conduct, using sporting events for manifestations of a non-sporting nature, and bringing the sport of football, and UEFA in particular, into disrepute".
With the incident said to have provoked widespread outrage in Gibraltar, the nation's football governing body welcomed the charges against Morata and Rodri.
"The Gibraltar FA welcomes the announcement today that UEFA has decided to open formal disciplinary proceedings against Rodri and Álvaro Morata further to the complaint filed by the Gibraltar FA with UEFA," a statement on the organisation's official website reads.
"This is an important first step in order to establish the unlawfulness of the chant on the basis of the grounds put forward by the Gibraltar FA in its complaint.
"The Gibraltar FA now awaits the decision of the UEFA Control Ethics and Disciplinary Body when the matter is heard."

UEFA said its disciplinary committee will rule on the case at a later stage, with the players facing a possible suspension from UEFA Nations League games in September.
