Spain 3-0 Serbia
Spain cruised to a dominant 3-0 triumph over Serbia in a League A Group 4 clash in the UEFA Nations League on Tuesday.
AC Milan forward Alvaro Morata spear-headed the attack for La Roja, with Martin Zubimendi, Fabian Ruiz, Mikel Oyarzabal and Mikel Merino tucked in-behind.
Former Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte got the opener on five minutes when he finished off an assist from Pedro Porro.
Morata had a chance to double the lead and made a welcome return to the national team with a penalty earlier in the second period, but he was unable to capitalise.
The former Chelsea ace did get on the board though in the closing exchanges and tucked in a well-placed finish into the bottom-corner.
Serbia were down to ten players near the final ten minutes through Strahinja Pavlovic, whilst at the other end a tremendous free-kick from Alex Baena gave La Roja a third and victory too.
Scotland 0-0 Portugal
Portugal came unstuck against a stubborn Scotland in a League A Group 1 encounter after playing to a goalless draw.
Cristiano Ronaldo led the line for A Selecao alongside Liverpool's Diogo Jota and Francisco Conceicao with Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes also given a starting berth.
Although, the evening wouldn't turn out to be the way the aforementioned attacking figures envisaged as the Scots proved difficult to break down. A
Ronaldo in particular got chances in either half to make the breakthrough, but neither managed to capitalise and saw the spoils shared.
Poland 3-3 Croatia
Poland hopes of a quarter-final berth were kept alive after coming from behind to hold a ten-men Croatia to an entertaining 3-3 draw in the other action in League A Group 1.
Inter Milan midfielder Piotr Zielinski broke the deadlock on five minutes, but the Croats wiped it out a few minutes later courtesy of Borna Sosa.
The Vatreni then managed to regain the lead soon afterwards when Petar Sucic rattled the back of the net with Martin Baturina adding another in the matter of minutes.
Poland remained alive though despite falling further behind and watched Nicola Zalewski get well ahead in the final minute of the first half and fired past goalkeeper Marcin Bulka.
In the second period, the Poles continued to rally and duly clawed level courtesy of a well-taken finish from Sebastian Szymanski.
Some late drama followed where Vatreni goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic was sent off for upending Polish substitute Robert Lewandowski.
Switzerland 2-2 Denmark
Switzerland registered their first point in League A Group 4 and arrested a string of defeats in a thrilling 2-2 draw against Denmark.
Manchester United duo Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund were given starting berths for the Danes, while Breel Embolo and Manchester City defender Manuel Akanji picked out the Swiss eleven.
Star player Remo Freuler got the ball rolling ahead of the half-hour mark before Gustav Isaksen responded a few minutes later from a supply by Eriksen.
However, the Red Crosses hit back on the brink of halftime and saw Zeki Amdouni made complete use of a penalty-kick and restored the lead.
Eriksen continued to enjoy a dream outing and with the minutes ticking by, he got the leveller after getting on the end of a Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg delivery.
