UEFA Nations League wrap: Germany pegged back by Switzerland

Wales needed a last-minute finish for a narrow 1-0 win over Bulgaria in their second UEFA Nations League match at the Cardiff City Stadium on Sunday evening.

The Welsh gave Real Madrid outcast Gareth Bale a second outing as he featured alongside Manchester United's Daniel James with Kieffer Moore, who netted the winner last time out up top.

Wales netted the winner right at the death through Nathan Williams, who had entered as a second half substitution to give Ryan Giggs' side back-to-back wins.

The Welsh' next encounter in the tournament early next month will be against Ireland in Dublin, while Bulgaria visit Finland.

Germany were denied their first  Nations League  win this campaign again after drawing 1-1 with Switzerland.

Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno replaced Kevin Trapp between the sticks for the Germans, who also started with Real Madrid's Toni Kroos and Borussia Dortmund's Julian Draxler.

Germany took the lead as early as the 14th minute through Ilkay Gundogan, but were pegged back 12 minutes from halftime through Silvan Widmer- leaving both sides winless from two matches so far.
