After Cameroon dropped one of their high-profile stars for disciplinary reasons ahead of the African nation's clash against Serbia, the player has now reportedly left the tournament altogether.
The Indomitable Lions lost their opening game of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup 1-0 to Switzerland, with Cameroon-born star Breel Embolo getting the winner.

The goalkeeper who stood between the sticks in that game, Andre Onana, was dropped from the matchday squad for the team's match against Serbia on Monday afternoon for disciplinary reasons, according to AFP.
Per Italian reporter Fabrizio Romano, the decision to axe him was reached after manager Rigobert Song wanted a more traditional approach from his No. 1, but Onana had no intention of changing his style of play.

Cameroon called up Devis Epassy to the starting XI as the replacement for the Inter Milan shot-stopper.
It has since been reported that Onana has decided to leave the team's World Cup camp, with no intention of returning.
Onana infamously spent nine months away from football after serving a doping suspension last year.

The African side will be eliminated from the World Cup with one game to spare if they lose to Serbia and Brazil avoid defeat against the Swiss.
