Rulani Mokwena remained humble in victory by refusing to accept the plaudits following an exceptional start as Mamelodi Sundowns head coach as his side lifted the Carling Black Label Cup at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.
Sundowns clinched their first-ever Carling Black Label Cup silverware after a revamp of the exhibition tournament with a 4-0 thrashing of Orlando Pirates.

Emerging young striker Cassius Mailula grabbed a brace as Grant Kekana scored from point-blank range after Sphelele Mkhulise opened the scoring as the Buccaneers sealed a revenge victory over a 10-man Pirates side.
The Buccaneers has sent the Brazilians crashing out of the semi-final stage of the MTN8 via a 3-0 thrashing before eventually lifting the trophy. With the Brazilians now returning the favour with interest in a 4-0 win.
"I always say the game belongs to the players as we have little control over what happens over 90 minutes," Mokwena said post-match."We can change things and influence with subs, and sometimes with mentality, but the plaudits and adulation has to go to the Sundowns players.
"First for accepting the change in leadership, number one, because that takes a lot of humility and emotional acceptance."But also accepting the fact that we had to play with a little bit more personality and that's what we continue to do.
"So, congratulations to the players, and a lot of praise and credit needs to go to them."
Since being appointed as head coach following that MTN8 thrashing to Pirates, Mokwena has overseen as incredible run of victories with an overall score-line of 15 goals scored with zero conceded.
