Lionel Messi has now seemingly hit back at Karim Benzema after the Frenchman appeared to have a dig at the Argentine winning FIFA's The Best Men's Player award earlier this week.
Messi beat teammate Kylian Mbappe and Benzema, who finished second and third for the accolade, respectively, to clinch the famous prize on Monday.

After winning the 2022 FIFA World Cup with Argentina, the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner received 52 points for the FIFA award, eight more than runner-up Mbappe and a whopping 18 more than the Real Madrid captain.
However, it appears the final result did not sit well with Benzema, who uploaded a video to Instagram soon after Messi was crowned of a man saying: "Liar, yes, you liar."
The footage was later accompanied by a caption from the forward that simply read: "Good night."
The Frenchman, who won the Ballon d'Or, the UEFA Champions League, and LaLiga titles in 2022, was not present at the awards gala on Monday, and his social media post quickly sparked a reaction from fans.
Benzema later went on share a screenshot on Instagram Stories of a post from a fan account listing all of his individual and club achievements during the voting period for FIFA's The Best Prize.
Many believe that Messi has since responded, posting a pair of images on Instagram of him smiling while holding the World Cup trophy on Wednesday evening, per GiveMeSport.
While the images did not include a caption, it is thought the post was a response aimed at Benzema's cryptic messages.
Ironically, Messi had voted for Benzema in his top three for the prize, along with Neymar and Mbappe.

Mbappe, meanwhile, seemingly took a more humble approach to his teammate's latest award win, congratulating Messi on his achievement with a post on Instagram.
