Ancelotti sends Liverpool warning to Real stars

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has sent a warning to his players ahead of this week's UEFA Champions League tie against Liverpool.

Los Blancos head into the second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday with a 5-2 lead from the first leg.

The defending champions got back to winning ways in LaLiga on Saturday after defeating Espanyol, while Liverpool suffered a shock loss to Bournemouth in the Premier League.

Despite the big lead and Liverpool's inconsistent form, Ancelotti warned his players not be complacent on the night.

"We have the experience of last year against Chelsea. We have an advantage, that's why we're favourites, but we have to play another 90 minutes with the same attitude as the first leg", Ancelotti said, as per Marca.

"We have an advantage, but we can't think of managing the game, we have to play 90 minutes at the top level."

The Italian tactician also spoke about his side still competing in three competitions at this stage of the campaign.

"It's so difficult to make it to the end of all three competitions. The fact is that we have a disadvantage in the Copa and in LaLiga, with a slight advantage in the Champions League, which is the toughest competition in the world"
