An Eredivisie star who previously plied his trade in the local game has shared why Ajax Amsterdam's Ghanaian sensation is the best player in his league.
Former Cape Town City star Peter Leeuwenburgh is currently playing for FC Groningen, having joined the Eredivisie club in 2021.

The 29-year-old has made 40 appearances for his latest club as things stand, but has come up against a number of top forwards already in his career.
Having had the experience of playing in Ajax Amsterdam's academy, the shot-stopper has previously rubbed shoulders with elite footballers such as Joel Veltman, Matthijs de Ligt and Frenkie de Jong.
With the Eredivisie being home to a number of high-profile players such as Xavi Simons, Santiago Gimenez, Ibrahim Sangare and Orkun Kokcu, Leeuwenburgh has now revealed that, for him, Ghana sensation Mohammed Kudus is the best player in the Dutch top flight.
"Kudus from Ajax Amsterdam is best in the league," the goalkeeper explained to KickOff.
"He has got everything as he is so strong and quick on the ball. He also has great technique with incredible speed.
"I saw him already at Ajax but we have two players who joined FC Groningen from Ajax and they cannot stop talking about him. They both say 'Kudus is by far the best player I have seen on a training pitch' and I have to agree, he is really special and amazing."
Kudus made history earlier this season when he became the first Ghanaian player to score two goals in a World Cup match, and at the same time also became the second-youngest African player ever to net twice in the competition.
He has also been a bright spark for his club Ajax with 18 goals and five assists in 38 appearances across all competitions so far this season.

Being a goalkeeper, Leeuwenburgh also shared with us who his favourite shot-stopper is and why.
"My favourite is definitely Marc-Andre ter Stegen. He is just the complete goalkeeper, he is perfect on the ball and one of the best footballers," the ex-CTC man added.
"Does not matter if the ball is on his left or right foot, he is exceptional. Ter Stegen is so calm on the ball, he does not care if he gets pressed. Somehow he always finds solutions. He is really attacking and always comes in a 1v1 and tries to spread himself and make himself big."
Further into the interview, the goalkeeper gave KickOff his verdict"on the Lionel Messi-Cristiano Ronaldo debate.
"Lionel Messi for me is the best in the world," he continued. "In the whole Messi-Ronaldo thing, I was always a bigger fan of the Argentine. He was at the more football-playing teams and he has more talent than Ronaldo. This led to me being a big fan of Barcelona.
"Messi is the best there has ever been, it is simple for me, and especially after he won the World Cup, the debate is over."
