Pep sends message to LaLiga boss after Vinicius incident

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has sent a message to LaLiga president Javier Tebas after the racist abuse aimed at Vinicius Junior.

The Brazilian was the victim of some unfortunate chants during Real Madrid's defeat to Valencia at the Mestalla last weekend.

A number of footballer, past and present, have come out to express their anger with LaLiga for not protecting their players against the racist abuse over the years.

Guardiola says the Spanish should learn from the Premier League on how to deal with racism in the stands.

"They should [LaLiga learn from the Premier League]. Here they are so strict [on fighting racism]. They know what they have to do. This is a problem everywhere," the former Barcelona boss said, as per talkSPORT.

"For all generations everywhere. Our ancestors come from migrants, wars and have to move on from countries. Build families there and come back to where you're born.

"The problem is that there is racism everywhere. We all need to treat people as human beings but we are far away from that.

"Hopefully we can get better in Spain but I'm not optimistic."
