Ten Hag gives Man Utd star 'ultimatum'

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has now reportedly given one his stars an ultimatum following a fallout.

Winger Jadon Sancho has been banished from all activities related to the first team, including joining his teammates for meals in the club's main dining room, until he apologises to the Dutch tactician, according to the Daily Mirror

His isolation from the rest of the squad comes following a bust-up with Ten Hag after he was left out of the squad that suffered a 3-1 defeat to Arsenal.

His manager had stated that he was not reaching the required levels in training, but Sancho hit back with a social media post in which he insisted he was being made a "scapegoat".

Since being exiled from first-team activities, it is understood the 23-year-old has been training and dining with United's academy players.

Sancho is said to feel humiliated and unhappy with how things have played out, and according to reports, the situation has reached an "impasse" as a resolution will only be found if the player offers his manager an apology, something he has not been willing to do to date.

"There is an easy way to resolve this situation, which is for Jadon to say sorry to the manager," a United source claimed, as per the Mirror.

"Something has to give – and it won't be the manager."

After making the £72.9 million (R1.7 billion) move to Old Trafford from Borussia Dortmund in 2021, Sancho has struggled to feature as a regular starter for the Red Devils, making 82 appearances for the club, with his last outing coming in a 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest on 26 August.
