After reports linked Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe with a move to Manchester United, the truth on the situation has now seemingly been revealed.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, "there was nothing concrete" to reports of a potential switch to the Red Devils for the France international.

After the Glazers put United up for sale in November 2022, Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al Thani was one of the frontrunners in the race to purchase the club.
That was until last weekend, when he pulled out as United refused to entertain a 100% sale, with British businessman Sir Jim Ratcliffe now looking set to own 25% of the Red Devils.
What now also seems to be washing away, along with Sheikh Jassim's hopes of owning one of the biggest teams in the world, are rumours linking Mbappe with a move to Manchester if the Qatari was successful in his acquisition of the Manchester side.
"I can also say that, despite links with Kylian Mbappe, it's normal to have rumours like this when new owners could be coming in, but there was nothing concrete," Romano wrote in his Daily Briefing column.
"For one thing, the takeover was never that close. Mbappe was also very clear in the summer that he wanted to stay at PSG for at least one more season.
"Still, I can say that Sheikh Jassim wanted to make a star signing in the summer, though I have no confirmation that Mbappe was on his list."
Other reports suggest that the 24-year-old is set to be offered a new contract by PSG in the French club's latest bid to have extend his stay in Paris, while he is still linked with a blockbuster move to Real Madrid.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner's deal at Les Parisiens is set to expire at the end of this season, but according to Romano, his future remains unclear for now.
"Despite what's been reported elsewhere, I have no news at all on Mbappe and an imminent contract offer from PSG," he added.
"It seems pretty obvious that PSG have been offering him a new deal for a long time, they spent years insisting on extending the contract, so it's on Mbappe now, not on PSG.
"And there's no update yet on Mbappe's side, we will see in the next weeks/months."
