With Percy Tau and his Al Ahly side losing to Fluminense and ultimately being knocked out of the FIFA Club World Cup, KickOff readers have now had their say on fingers being pointed at Tau after the defeat.
What's the story?
Tau brought Brazil star Marcelo down in the area to concede a penalty, which was converted by Jhon Arias in the 71st minute to give Brazilian side Fluminense a one-goal advantage in the tie on Monday night, before a 90th minute strike by John Kennedy knocked the Egyptian giants out of the tournament, ending their dreams of playing in a first CWC final.
Former Egyptian association football referee Gehad Grisha has insisted it was the correct decision, and attributed the spot kick to "negligence" by the South Africa international.
Ex-Fluminense coach Paulo Campos also pointed out that "Tau had a great chance to score the equalizer."
Some KO readers suggested it was the wrong decision by the referee while others were in support of Tau, saying he shouldn't have been in the box in the first place. Mamelodi Sundowns, meanwhile, were catching stray bullets.

"At least if you compete on club world cup it shows that you are the best team in Africa and the world, not this talkative team winning DStv league and tell themselves that they are the best team in Africa," says Ishmael Magwati.
"Tau is not a defender he was supposed to be advised to be composed when marking an experienced Marcelo... He was not supposed to tackle! Instead should have just blocked his way to the poles... Marcelo is very experienced he could just exploit and take advantage of defenders Just like that(finger snap)," says Malome Teboho.
"Al Ahly legends must not even try to attack Tau about his mistakes. Al ahly won CAF because of Tau, he contributed a lot, he didn't become CAF player of the year for nothing, he helped Al Ahly to participate in the FIFA club world cup," says Thabang Modise.
"If they can be defeated by Sundowns what makes them think they can defeat Fluminense," asks Michael Sibanyoni.
"Unfortunately, the referee was unfair. The penalty kick was the turning point of the match. This referee is racist and hates Africa," says Maryam Alkased.
"Tau had a nightmare of a game," says Nozulu Alice.
"Tau was the villain for his club last night. It was not to be," says Brown Alicia.
"Where was the right back. Tau is there yes but he's not a right back. He should've been covered by their right back," says Phorane Masha.
"This happens often when any team loses a game of this magnitude. Supporters always have someone to point a finger at. Not new," says K Mphephu Mulaudzi.
"So one mistake from Tau who has rescued them on many occasions, boom, he's under fire. I knew they would be on his case, as if Tau is a defender," says Bongani Mgubela.
"Why would anyone blame a striker for trying to do the task of a defender? Where were the defenders when he was forced to go back and assist in defence? Sometimes, this team circles their entire game plan on one person and one person alone which is flawed," writes Monde Lepelle.
"Before they blame him, where were the defenders?" asks Hope Nkosi.

Meanwhile, Sundowns are reportedly closing in on South American midfielder Matias Esquivel. According to journalist Cesar Luis Merio, the Brazilians have come to a verbal agreement with Atletico Lanus to bring the 24-year-old to South Africa in January.
With the revelation, KO readers had their say with a debate having been sparked in the comments section of Facebook as well, with Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs being brought into it! Grab your popcorn and check out what the KO faithful had to say on the potential transfer.
"Sundowns is more serious than their fans while chiefs fans are more serious than chiefs itself, opposite movements with opposite results," Louis Nama.
"I'm very much worried when almost everyone praises Sundowns in regard to Chiefs and Pirates management as leaders who are stingy and don't want to buy quality, expensive players and even some fans of these two giants compare their teams with Downs! Sundowns is led by a BILLIONAIRE who can easily splash money all over the show. Pirates and Chiefs don't have that privilege so people must stop thinking that Pirates and Chiefs are failing to match Sundowns pound for pound because of carelessness!" exclaims Dumisani Ngobeni.
"You guys must stop include Sundowns in your problems," replied Stera Inja Yegame.
"I don't think you understood my post. Did I blame Sundowns? Dr Motaung and Dr Khoza aren't poor but they aren't billionaires! My post was about advising the football loving public to avoid comparing Sundowns with Chiefs and Pirates because they don't have financial muscles as Downs' owner! How does this offend you?" stated Ngobeni in reply.
"None the less stop including Sundowns," said Xabiso Malimba who jumped in on the debate.
"Who are you to tell me to stop mentioning Sundowns. What is wrong when I ask people to stop comparing Sundowns with Pirates and Chiefs?" replied Ngobeni.
Meanwhile, Buyani Cele says: "They are giving out people instead of local I will never ever support Sundowns in my life."
"Why are Sundowns allowed to sign so many foreign players?" asks Aphiwe Gulube.
"Mamelodi South America!" says Dumisani Ngobeni.
"United Nations FC," remarks Nyiko Mathebula.
"I feel sorry for South African teams they now not going to get even that beer cup," says Khethakahle Mtshali.
